-> retrolife
Part of my upcoming series :D

Retroleben
Think back to the time without smart-phones and a fast internet connection. What were you doing?
Now its omnipresent. Do you even remember how to send a proper letter anymore? Do you read the newspaper in the morning or on the toilette or just browsing the internet on your smart-phone? :) Buying stuff online or go shopping in the mall?

This series shows character wearing an old CRT-monitor in daily-life situations where now modern technology is usually used . The monitor symbolizes the connection to the past, "retro-life". Also it looks funky as hell!

hope you like it!

I feel like their is something missing while reading a book online or on an e-reader... it is great for finding amateurs like the ones we find here on dA, but nothing beats the morning newspaper with your coffee or a good book that you afterwards cherish because it was a good fucking story and it's cool to be able to have that and pass it on to the next generation as well... I don't think you can really do that with e-stuff. Just too messy, unreal. It doesn't really exist right? That's how I feel anyways. So many questions you propose... I want to answer them all because I have thought about them all deeply, but I will just say what I wanted to say before reading your authors comment because otherwise I'll get all heavy in it and no one really cares. I love your photography, so thought provoking and beautifully crafted too, we need more of this! Def- funky as hell. haha. :)

I agree with you. I rather buy a "real" book, which I can hold in my hands, feel the paper, put on my shelf, etc. than have an e-book for half the price. it is unreal, in the end its "just" data. Im not a defender of analog-times, not at all, nearly everything in my life is digital, but nevertheless we must not forgett real feelings, and thats what analog stands for. Hope you get what I wrote with my bad English.
Also thanks for your comment, really appreciate it when someone takes her time to wirte her thoughts ony my photos. Love it!

Ah, no worries, I understand you perfectly! One thing I really appreciate about photography is that there is no language barrier. Actually, your english is better than some english people I know, ha ha. Your very welcome, I wish more people would take time to leave comments on work like this. :)
